In our ongoing effort to keep SA 7 individuals and communities connected and informed, we have organized the following resources to assist you in navigating our network or providers. The Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) supports the wellbeing of our County residents and communities. LACDMH’s Help Line is available 24/7 to provide mental health support, resources, and referrals at (800) 854-7771.

Psychiatric Mobile Response Teams (PMRT)

PMRTs consist of DMH licensed clinical staff assigned to a specific Service Area in Los Angeles County. Teams have legal authority per Welfare and Institutions Code 5150 and 5585 to initiate applications for evaluation of involuntary detention of individuals determined to be at risk of harming themselves or others or who are unable to provide food, clothing, or shelter as a result of a mental disorder.

If you need to contact the Psychiatric Mobile Response Team, please contact our Help Line at (800) 854-7771. If you have any questions or want to consult a case prior to requesting (PMRT) in Service Area 7 please call the following number (562) 467-0209.

LACDMH’s Promoters Program aims to reduce mental health stigma throughout Los Angeles County — particularly in historically underserved cultural and linguistic communities — by increasing awareness about mental health issues, removing barriers, and improving timely access to culturally and linguistically appropriate resources.
