Housing
The Countywide Housing, Employment and Education Resource Development (CHEERD) Division provides a range of housing services and resources for homeless consumers that includes housing subsidies through the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program and Shelter Plus Care Program; financial assistance for rental assistance, household goods and eviction prevention through the Countywide Housing Assistance Program; and temporary shelter through the Specialized Shelter Bed Program. In addition, the CHEERD Division provides capital development funding and operating subsidies for the creation of new permanent supportive housing throughout Los Angeles County.
