Emergency Response Teams (ERT)

Emergency Response Teams (ERT) are comprised of PMRT staff specialized in responding to critical incidents such as acts of school violence, natural disasters such as earthquakes, fires.. etc. or acts of terror or critical incidents.  ERT provide on-scene consultation and crisis intervention services to survivors and their families, victims, first responders, and the community.  In a major event, ERT is activated through the DMH Disaster Services Unit at the request of the Los Angeles City and/or County Office of Emergency Management.

In a major event, EOTD collaborates with Disaster Services Unit and the Los Angeles County Office of Emergency Management. to provide services to the cities and communities located within Los Angeles County when such incidents occur.
