About LACDMH Pharmacy and Laboratory Services

With over 85 outpatient programs and 1,000 contracted facilities across Los Angeles County, LACDMH is the largest public mental health system in the United States, serving more than 250,000 clients annually. LACDMH’s Pharmacy & Laboratory Services bureau is one of the supporting pillars for these programs. Our team is comprised of clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other dedicated staff, who provide clinical, operational, and administrative services in both clinic-based and field-based settings.

– Reducing Hospital Readmissions Pilot Program
– Long Acting Injectable (LAI) Initiation and Maintenance Clinic
– Clozapine Management Clinic
– Pharmacotherapy Consult Service
– Hormonal Contraceptive Access Program
– Naloxone / Fentanyl Test Strip Access Program
– Lab Access Coordination
– Safety Net prescription coverage and lab coverage for uninsured clients

Our clinical pharmacists are integral members of multidisciplinary care teams and provide comprehensive medication support to clients with a wide spectrum of severe mental health conditions, including major depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, bipolar disorders, psychotic disorders, and co-occurring substance use disorders, among other conditions.
