“Bedlam” Virtual Screening & Discussion – Jan. 19, 2021

“Bedlam” is set in Los Angeles and is the first major documentary to explore the crisis in the care of severely mentally-ill citizens. The Friends of the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA will be hosting a virtual screening of this film, followed by a panel discussion with mental health & public policy experts, including:
- Judge Songhai Armstead, Exec. Director, LA County’s Alternatives to Incarceration Initiative
- George Gascon, LA County District Attorney
- The Honorable Patrick Kennedy
- Dr. Jonathan E. Sherin, Director of LACDMH
- Dr. Kenneth B. Wells, Director, Semel Institute’s Center for Health Services and Society
- Dr. Kenneth Rosenberg, director of “Bedlam”
