What is Workforce Development?
WorkForce Development is support that helps youth and young adults prepare
for jobs, explore careers, and build job ready skills.
What opportunities are available to me?
These Program opportunities may consist of the following listed below

Program opportunities include:

  • Programs for ages 14-24 years old
  • Mentoring, Counseling
  • Career Guidance & College Prep financial aid support
  • Tutoring & Computer Access
  • Job skills training
  • Professional Attire available at some youth source centers

What can I gain from Workforce Development?

Getting connected is the first step in accessing case management, career guidance, and support in enrolling in workforce programs. Some programs may offer:

  • Work Experience
  • Certifications
  • College Credits
  • Networking Connections
  • Personal Development
  • New opportunities after completion of programs

Once connected, you may have the opportunity for short-term or
seasonal employment, monthly stipends and/or unpaid internships.

Youth Source Centers provide a safe supportive space where they provide guidance, tutoring, paid internships, job-readiness support, and vocational training. Their goal is to help youth build skills, gain confidence, and move toward long-term success across Los Angeles.
