Nov. 2017

Delegation from L.A. County visited Trieste, Italy, to attend an international mental health conference and observe its world-renowned mental health system.

2017-2019

After returning from Trieste, the delegation worked with their respective organizations and additional partners to strategize how to implement a person-centered, hospitality-oriented approach to deliver well-being and supportive services to vulnerable individuals, families, and communities, particularly those experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and/or substance use disorder.

May 2019

LACDMH submitted the T.R.I.E.S.T.E. Project Proposal to California’s Mental Health Services Oversight & Accountability Commission on May 23; the proposal was approved on May 29.

Early 2020

The global COVID-19 pandemic led to a pause in project planning & implementation.

2020-2021

T.R.I.E.S.T.E. was modified and reconceptualized as “Hollywood 2.0” due to updated fiscal projections, California’s upcoming launch of CalAIM to enhance whole-person care, and opportunities to utilize federal funding.

Nov. 2021

L.A. County Board of Supervisors approved the motion to begin “Initiating the Hollywood 2.0 Pilot Project”.

Jan. 2022

LACDMH submitted the 90 Day Response Report for “Initiating the Hollywood 2.0 Pilot Project”.

Feb. 2022

Hollywood 4WRD was identified as the stakeholder engagement partner for Hollywood 2.0.

July 2022
