DESCRIPTION:The 2023 Faith-Based Mental Health Conference – with the theme of “Building Wellness Bridges & Connecting Diverse Communities” – will take place on May 23\, 2023\, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Los Angeles Convention Center. \nVisit this link to register for the event (note you will need to log in or create an account on EventsHub to RSVP.) \n \nThis conference focuses on how the integration of spiritual practices and mental health services can strengthen individual and family mental wellness. This Free event provides training and opportunities to talk about how spiritual and mental health practices can come together to address addiction\, homelessness\, rising suicide rates\, and other critical issues impacting communities\, especially communities of color\, throughout Los Angeles County. Conference workshops include building bridges between psychology/psychiatry and religion\, faith leaders and the LGBTQIA2S+ communities\, integrating spirituality and mental health services to support pregnant and parenting teens\, and addressing the gap between faith-based institutions and youth from marginalized communities. \n  \nClick here to view the program.
