DESCRIPTION:ANNOUNCEMENT\nMENTAL HEALTH COMMISSION \nNOTICE OF MARCH 12\, 2020 MEETING CANCELLATION\n  \nIn light of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and LA County Department of Public Health recommendations regarding COVID-19\, the March 12\, 2020 Mental Health Commission Executive Committee Meeting has been canceled. \nOur staff will continue to consult with Los Angeles County Counsel\, the Department of Public Health and other relevant partners to determine best practices and/or contingency plans for conducting future Commission meetings.  We will keep the community updated on those future meetings.  We are extremely sorry for this short notice\, however\, it is the Mental Health Commission’s priority to protect the best interest\, health and wellness of individuals in the community. \n  \nIn the interim\, please continue to follow the guidance from the public health department below and feel free to reach out should you have any questions or concerns. \n  \nPublic Health continues to recommend that the public do the following to protect themselves and others from respiratory illnesses: \n\nStay home when you are sick.\nWash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds\, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose\, coughing\, or sneezing.\nAvoid touching your eyes\, nose\, and mouth with unclean hands.\nLimit close contact\, like kissing and sharing cups or utensils\, with people who are sick.\nClean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.\nCover your cough or sneeze with a tissue\, then throw the tissue in the trash.
