MHSA Community Planning Team Stakeholder Meeting – Dec. 10, 2024

We are looking forward to seeing you in person this Tuesday, December 10, 2024, 9:30a-12:30p at St. Anne’s Conference and Event Center located at 155 N. Occidental Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90026. The session focuses on three main objectives:

1. Share brief updates on MHSA administrative items.
2. Provide updates and gather questions on the following MHSA-funded programs: (1) Prevention, Early Intervention, Stigma and Discrimination Reduction, and Suicide Prevention; (2) 988 Call Center; (3) School Threat Assessment Team; and (4) Veteran Peer Access Network (VPAN).
3. Present the MHSA Mid-Year Adjustment for fiscal years 2024-25 through 2025-26 and gather feedback and questions.

Given the amount of information and time constraints, presenters will highlight key points in the slide deck. For this reason, please review the slides prior to the session, particularly those linked to topics that most interest you. Use the worksheet attached to the agenda to jot down your questions.

As a reminder, over the past five months, DMH has been providing updates on (a) MHSA-funded programs for fiscal year 2023-24 and (b) BHSA regulations in preparation for the upcoming BHSA community planning process. With regards to MHSA-funded programs, we have covered the following programs since August:

Hopefully, these presentations have given you a more comprehensive view of the majority of the MHSA-funded programs. However, the amount of information we’ve shared has certainly limited the amount of time for deeper discussion. We appreciate your patience and commitment to continued engagement.

Our plan is to return to these topics throughout 2025. To prepare for these sessions, we have gathered all your questions from each session. We are following up with the appropriate DMH lead staff member to provide written responses. Your questions will help us identify key questions to organize deep dives.

Esperamos verles en persona este martes 10 de diciembre de 2024, de 9:30 a 12:30 en el Centro de Conferencias y Eventos de St. Anne ubicado en 155 N. Occidental Blvd., Los Ángeles, CA 90026. La sesión se centra en tres objetivos principales:

Sin embargo, la cantidad de información que hemos compartido ciertamente ha limitado la cantidad de tiempo para una discusión más profunda. Agradecemos su paciencia y compromiso a una participación continua.

Nuestro plan es volver a estos temas a lo largo de 2025. Para prepararnos para estas sesiones, hemos recopilado todas sus preguntas de cada sesión. Estamos haciendo un seguimiento con el miembro principal del personal del DMH apropiado para proporcionar respuestas por escrito. Sus preguntas nos ayudarán a identificar preguntas clave para organizar sesiones que se profundizen mas en ciertos temas.
