Incubation Academy Training

At the request of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, the Department of Mental Health (DMH) has developed an Incubation Program to assist nonprofit organizations that have a desire to provide services to mental health clients so as to build capacity within the Mental Health system. The program provides an academy, resource references, technical assistance, and mentorship and/or sponsorship by existing County service providers.

The academy is an on-going program with a Basic Core and an Advanced Specific Mental Health Courses. The courses are offered once a quarter four half-days for the Basic Core session and three half-days for the Advanced Specific Mental Health session. The courses are taught by Department subject experts.
